Rio Camuy Cave Park
At the Rio Camuy Cave Park, you get to ride an open air trolley through the caves. The cave park also boasts an area called Cathedral Cave where you can see Taino Indian petroglyphs. Be sure to visit the cafe and gift shop while you’re there. Admission costs around $10 for adults and $7 for children.

In San Juan, you’ll find the Museum of the Sea or Museo del Mar. At this museum you’ll get to see Spanish colonial documents, maps, naval implements, ship models and more. Even visitors who aren’t interested in naval history will enjoy this museum because it’s a nice place to escape the heat. Call for admission times and current prices.
The Museum of Art and History is a great destination for anyone interested in the history and culture of Puerto Rico and its people. The exhibits in this museum change on a regular basis and feature treasures from local artists as well as international artists. Architecture buffs will enjoy that the building of the museum is a great example of colonial style. Admission costs around $5 for children and $2.50 for children.
San Juan Cathedral
San Juan Cathedral is a masterpiece of medieval architecture and is the resting place of explorer Ponce de Leon whose body was moved here in 1913. This cathedral currently holds regular religious services in addition to guided tours and is a must-visit for any visitor to Puerto Rico. Admission to San Juan Cathedral is free of charge.

Montoso Gardens
Montoso Gardens spans over 90 acres and serves as a nursery and tropical botanical farm. You’ll discover exotic trees, flowers, plants, nuts and spices. Here, you can purchase fresh fruit, flowers, seeds, spices and more to take with you. Admission costs are free. Call for information about guided tours.
