St. Stephan's Cathedral
St. Stephan's Cathedral was constructed in the 12th century in the center of town. The cathedral was almost completely destroyed by fire and rebuilt in the 14th century. This cathedral was the site of Mozart's funeral in 1791 and is rich in Austrian history. Admission to the cathedral itself is free. Admission to tour the catacombs costs 4 Euros for adults and 1.50 Euros for children.

Liechtenstein Museum
The Liechtenstein Museum is home to one of the most magnificent collections of art found anywhere. You'll get to see paintings by masters such as Rembrandt, Raphael and Rubens. This collection was first opened for public viewing in 2003. Admission costs 10 Euros for adults, 8 for senior citizens, 5 for students and 2 for children under 14.

Schonbrunn Palace
Schonbrunn Palace boasts over 1400 rooms and was designed by the von Erlachs to serve as a baroque masterpiece for the Habsburgs. Highlights include the State Apartments, Carriage Museum, Palace Theater and the Imperial Gardens. Admission costs 8.90 Euros for adults, 4.70 for children and free for children under 6.

Spanish Riding School
The Spanish Riding School or Spanische Reitschule is famed for their shows featuring the graceful Lippanzer stallions, known around the world for their beauty and grace. The school exists inside a gorgeous ballroom and shows are set to classical music. Reservations for tickets must be made in advance. Tickets for regular performances cost anywhere from around 40 to 160 Euros.

Imperial Treasury
The Schatzkammer, or Imperial Treasury, is accessed via the Swiss Court staircase. The Imperial Crown, which dates back to 962, is housed here. You'll also see Charlemagne's saber from the 9th century and the Holy Lance. Other highlights include priceless paintings, gems and artifacts from the Burgundian Treasure. Admission costs 7.50 Euros for adults, 5.90 for students and senior citizens and 3.90 for children.
