MusČe National Message Biblique Marc-Chagall
Fans of the biblical artist Marc Chagall cannot miss this museum. Chagall and his wife donated the most incredible collection of his works to France in the mid 20th century, which remains today in this building. There are over 450 amazing pieces to behold here. Admission costs 5.50 Euros for adults, 4 Euros for students and free for children.

Cimiez Convent
Cimiez convent is home to more than 350 different works of art and historic documents. While here, you'll want to tour the spectacular gardens and check out the recreation of a monastery cell. Other highlights include the main altar and cemetery where Matisse is buried. Admission to the convent is free of charge.

Musee Terra Amata
This small museum stands in the very place where the prehistoric settlement of Terra Amata existed. You'll learn about the prehistoric environment and how the people who lived there survived. There is also a group of educational models which show the history and evolution of the environment. Admission costs 3.80 Euros for adults, 2.30 for students and free for children.

Palais Lascaris
The Palais Lascaris was constructed in the 17th century. At this breathtaking palace, you'll get to see an incredible collection of ornaments, antiques and embellishments. There is even a pharmacy on site that was built in the 18th century and still features many of its original items and furnishings. Admission to the palace is free of charge.

Musee Matisse
Matisse died in the city of Nice in 1954, which is why his museum is in this city. Exhibits include early sketches as well as fine paintings that include The Creole Dancer, Portrait of Madame Matisse and Nymph in the Forest. His last work, Flowers and Fruit, is also housed here. This museum is an ideal destination for any art lover or Matisse fan. Admission costs 4 Euros for adults, 2.50 for students and free for children
