Leonardo da Vinci National Museum of Science and Technology
The most amazing exhibits at this museum are the scale models of da Vinci's creations, which include submarines and airplanes that actually work. The museum is housed in a former monastery and is a fitting tribute to one of the most brilliant artists and inventors of all time. Admission costs 6.20 Euros for adults and 4.20 Euros for children and senior citizens.

Pinacoteca di Brera
At the Pinacoteca di Brera, you'll discover an incredible collection of Renaissance and Medieval art. This museum was once used as an art repository for Napoleon and even houses a statue of him. There are over forty rooms that house incredible treasures such as paintings by masters like Carvaggio and Raphael. There is also an area for modern 20th century works. Admission is 6.20 Euros.

Duomo
The Duomo is one of Milan's most amazing landmarks. This Gothic style cathedral took 500 years to complete and features incredible architecture and stained glass. You'll also find treasures to behold at the Duomo's museum. This massive structure seats 40,000 yet is spacious and airy. General admission is free, but it costs approximately 5 Euros to access the roof area via elevator.

Chiesa di San Lorenzo Maggiore
The Chiesa di San Lorenzo Maggiore is Milan's oldest church and dates all the way back to the 4th century. Be sure to see the mosaics from the 5th century, which can be accessed via the atrium. Although this church has been rebuilt over the centuries, it still has a fair amount of original features. Admission is 2 Euros for adults and 1 Euro for children.

Civico Museo Archeologico
At this museum, you'll discover artifacts from the Roman empire. Treasures to behold include glassware, utensils, tools, jewelry and much more. The museum is kept in a 16th century building that served as a monastery and features an amazing collection that even includes ancient Indian pieces. Admission is free of charge.
