Museo del Prado
The Museo del Prado is home to over 7,000 priceless works of art and is one of the most famous and historic art museums in the world. Examples of artists featured here include Raphael, Rubens, Botticelli, Bosch and many more. In addition to the permanent collection, this museum often features temporary exhibitions. Admission is 3 Euros for adults and 1.50 Euros for senior citizens and students.

Monasterio de las Descalzas Reales
This monastery is the former palace of Carlos I and Isabel of Portugal and the home where they had their daughter. In the 16th century, this building served as a convent for young women, then later as a shelter. Here, you'll find an incredible collection of art and antiquities, including Titian's famous Caesar's Money painting. Admission costs 4.80 Euros for adults and 2.75 Euros for children.

Palacio Real
The Palacio Real, or Royal Palace, is a must-see for any visitor to Madrid. On a tour of this spectacular building, you'll get to see highlights such as the Throne Room, Reception Room, Banquet Room, and much more. The cost of admission and a guided tour costs 6 Euros for adults and 3 Euros for children and students.

Museo Taurino
The Museo Taurino, or Bullfighting Museum, is a good place to learn about this popular Spanish sport. Exhibits include famous costumes, photographs, antiques and a matador painting by Goya. You'll learn the history of the sport from it's beginnings to today. Admission is free.

Safari Park
At Madrid's vast Safari Park, you'll get to see more than 500 exotic animals running free, from the safety of a vehicle, of course. In addition to animals like monkeys, elephants and tigers, there is also an aviary and reptile house. And, don't miss the lion taming show! Admission costs 10 Euros for adults and 6 Euros for children between the ages of 3 and 10.
