Honolulu Academy of Arts
The Honolulu Academy of Arts is the only museum of general fine art in the state of Hawaii. This museum houses treasures from all parts of the world, including Asia, Europe and the Americas. In addition to the incredible art inside, the building itself is of interest to architecture enthusiasts as it is a perfect example of old Hawaiian style. Admission is $7 for adults, $4 for students, seniors and miltary personnel, and free for children.

Iolani Palace
Tours of Iolani Palace take approximately 45 minutes and give visitors a real taste of historic Hawaii. This palace dates back to 1882 and includes royal galleries filled with antiquities like fine china, jewels and much more. The Grand Tour is $20 for adults and $5 for children between the ages of 5-17. Gallery Tours cost $6 for adults and $3 for children. Children under five are not permitted.

Pearl Harbor
At Pearl Harbor, visitors can see the USS Arizona Memorial. Tours of this legendary and historic site are free of charge, and include a lecture and documentary film. At the on-site museum, you can view fascinating exhibits like photographs, documents and other momentos. Pearl Harbor is definitely a place all tourists to Honolulu should visit.

Honolulu Zoo
The Honolulu Zoo is fun for all ages, housed on 43 lush acres. One of the most popular areas of this zoo is the African Savannah, which spans 10 acres and lets visitors see the animals of Africa roaming free. You'll also get to see exotic Hawaiian animals including the nene goose and even a Hawaiian pig. Admission is $8 for adults and only $1 for children between the ages of 6-12.

Foster Botanical Garden
The Foster Botanical Garden is conveniently located close to Honolulu's Chinatown district and offers a breathtaking oasis in the middle of the city. The gardens span 14 acres and include an amazing collection of beautiful and rare plants, trees and flowers, some of which date back to the 19th century. Admission costs $5 for adults and $1 for children between the ages of 6-12.
