California Science Center
The California Science Center has something for the whole family, such as a 50-foot animatronic woman named Tess. Many of the attractions here are interactive, such as the fun Space simulator. There's also an IMAX theater which shows films throughout the day. Admission to the Science Center is free, while the IMAX theater costs $7.50 for adults, $5.50 for senior citizens and youths, and $4.50 for children aged 4-12. Kids under 4 get in free.

Museum of Television and Radio
At the Museum of Television and Radio, you can see historic television that can be found nowhere else. Examples include the Orson Welles War of the Worlds hoax, the Beatles on Ed Sullivan, and Franklin D. Roosevelt's first Fireside Chat. Admission is free, however contributions are encouraged in the amounts of $10 adults, $8 for students and senior citizens, and $5 for children.

Paramount Pictures
Paramount Pictures (the only studio left in Hollywood) is a location you simply must tour if you're seeking real Tinseltown glamour. Tours take two hours and cost $35. On a tour, you get to see how movies and television are made behind the scenes, and maybe even spot a celebrity or two. It's a definite must-do for any visitor to L.A.

Universal Studios
Universal Studios is a studio and amusement park. For the cost of a ticket, you get a studio tour and access to the park. There are interactive rides, entertaining shows and more all based around favorite movies and characters. A one-day ticket costs around $59, although there are a variety of budget packages and special deals to choose from.

Six Flags California
Another exciting destination in Los Angeles for the whole family is Six Flags. Here, you'll find a wide variety of thrilling rides, live entertainment, shopping, dining and more. Bass Museum of Art
The Bass Museum is one of the best in the city of Miami. Housed here are pieces of art dating from the 15th to the 20th centuries including works by Rubens and Bol. The Museum of Contemporary Art is another popular museum in Miami and a must-see for modern art lovers. Biltmore Hotel
On Sundays, the Biltmore Hotel offers free tours. This hotel is steeped in mystery and legend, and is rumored to be haunted. On one of these tours, you'll get to see the inside and outside of the hotel. On Thursdays at 7:30 p.m. there are storytelling sessions for visitors which are held by the fireplace and feature a free glass of champagne. It's advised that you call ahead if you want to attend one of these sessions.

Miami Metrozoo
The Miami Metrozoo is located on 290 acres of land and is totally cageless. The wide variety of different animals are confined by clever landscaping rather than kept behind bars. At this zoo there is a petting area, great educational programs, and lots to see and do. Admission is $12 for adults and $7 for children between the ages of 3 and 12.

Spanish Monastery
The Spanish Monastery Cloisters are rumored to be part of the oldest building in the Western Hemisphere. They were brought to Miami from Spain by newspaper mogul William Randolph Hearst and are one of the most visited attractions in the city. Statue of Liberty
No trip to New York is complete without a visit to the Statue of Liberty. This enduring symbol of American freedom is housed on its very own Liberty Island and must be accessed by ferry. Alcatraz Island
Alcatraz Island is a legendary, now-defunct prison that's housed some of the country's most infamous criminals including Al Capone and the Birdman of Alcatraz. Cable Cars
A trip to San Francisco would not be complete without a ride on the Cable Cars. Rides cost $3 each and take passengers all around the area. Golden Gate Bridge

The Lincoln Memorial
The Lincoln Memorial is a temple-like building which was erected to honor America's 16th President, Abraham Lincoln.
