The California Science Center has something for the whole family, such as a 50-foot animatronic woman named Tess. Many of the attractions here are interactive, such as the fun Space simulator. There's also an IMAX theater which shows films throughout the day. Admission to the Science Center is free, while the IMAX theater costs $7.50 for adults, $5.50 for senior citizens and youths, and $4.50 for children aged 4-12. Kids under 4 get in free.

At the Museum of Television and Radio, you can see historic television that can be found nowhere else. Examples include the Orson Welles War of the Worlds hoax, the Beatles on Ed Sullivan, and Franklin D. Roosevelt's first Fireside Chat. Admission is free, however contributions are encouraged in the amounts of $10 adults, $8 for students and senior citizens, and $5 for children.

Paramount Pictures (the only studio left in Hollywood) is a location you simply must tour if you're seeking real Tinseltown glamour. Tours take two hours and cost $35. On a tour, you get to see how movies and television are made behind the scenes, and maybe even spot a celebrity or two. It's a definite must-do for any visitor to L.A.

Universal Studios is a studio and amusement park. For the cost of a ticket, you get a studio tour and access to the park. There are interactive rides, entertaining shows and more all based around favorite movies and characters.
