Alcatraz Island is a legendary, now-defunct prison that's housed some of the country's most infamous criminals including Al Capone and the Birdman of Alcatraz. The prison exists on its own island and must be reached by ferry. Admission, which includes the ferry ride and tour, is $16 for adults, $15 for senior citizens and $11 for children.
